Sydney Writers' Festival Homegrown @ the Library!
Join us for Homegrown, streamed live by the Sydney Writers’ Festival and delivered locally to Singleton Library.

I have worked at the public library for over ten years. I also work at a school library. I love encouraging children to develop a love of reading, imagination, and discovery.

Outside of work, I enjoy crafts of all kinds and love finding creative projects to explore. I am also an enthusiastic animal lover and care for five cockatiels and seven chickens.

What I read | For myself I enjoy reading mostly Fantasy and Romance books. However, I do also love the imagination and illustrations found in children’s books. With favorite series such as Harry Potter and Percy Jackson being some of my most reread books.

I’m a mum of three kids, so a big part of our life at home revolves around books, bedtime stories, and reading together.

One of the things I love most about libraries is helping children discover a love of reading and seeing them find books and stories that really excite them.

What I read | I read a mix of everything – for pleasure and study, crime and true crime are my guilty pleasure. My ‘To be read’ pile grows faster than I can ever tackle. I’m currently reading How to Raise a Healthy Gamer
