Last Friday, at a ceremony in Mount Evelyn, thirty two former and current CFA volunteers who served at Mallacoota during the 2019-20 bushfires received the Chief Officer’s Unit Citation for Courage, recognising their extraordinary bravery.
We are immensely proud that two of the recipients were members of Seville CFA.
Firefighter and former Lieutenant Anthony Hudson and Strike Team Leader Ross Johnson
Congratulations to them both and to all recipients
on this thoroughly deserved recognition of your courage, skills and character in the face of such confronting and dangerous conditions.

From our family to yours, we hope all Mums, step Mums, and mother figures have had a great Mother’s Day. Thank you all CFA Mum’s for the incredible work you do for your brigades and the community.
And an EXTRA special thank you to the Mum’s who are the partners of volunteers in our brigade. So often you are left in the lurch when that pager goes off. Mealtimes, sports pick ups, homework, family plans thrown in a spin. We could not operate without you. We see you and and appreciate everything you do to support us.

Today we recognise those who's duty it is to run towards danger when others are told to leave.

On International Firefighter Day, we thank our incredible CFA members and all of those who protect communities in times of crisis and every day in between.
