Armadale Arena offers a range of health and fitness programs to residents. The recreation centre has a gym, group fitness, personal training, indoor sports a great creche and facilities for hire. The relaxed atmosphere will help you achieve all your health goals without feeling intimidated and the wonderful staff will be happy to assist with any enquires.

From joining our Learn to Swim program in 2024 (starting from Level 2), Nia’s journey has taken her across Australia and the Pacific, where she is now training in Level 10 in our Swim School! 💙

One of the things that keeps Nia and her mum coming back to AFAC is the flexibility, giving them access to our pools 7 days a week, with no extra costs, so Nia can keep practising around home-schooling. 🏊‍♀️✨

We are proud to be part of Nia’s journey and can’t wait to see where her love for the water takes her! There’s something special about knowing AFAC continues to be part of Nia’s story. 🥰

We are incredibly proud to have been recognised as Watch Around Water Facility of the Year at the prestigious 2026 WA Aquatic & Recreation Industry Awards, presented by LIWA Aquatics 🥇

This award recognises our commitment across our centre to promote water safety and creating a safe environment for children, families and our wider community 🤝

From our teams on pool deck and in swimming lessons, through to customer service, and everyone working behind the scenes, we all have a role to play in creating a safe and welcoming facility 🫂

THROWBACK THURSDAY 💙🏊‍♀️

You may remember Damon as AFAC’s Swim School Team Leader back in 2019, before spending 5years as our Programs Coordinator. Damon was a huge part of AFAC’s journey and success, and we’re so proud to see him now taking on his new role as Manager of Recreation Services at the City of Subiaco 🤝

Fast forward to today, and Damon and his wife are taking their first born, Bronte to her first ever swim, there was only one place Damon had in mind.

In his words, “There’s no way her first swim would be anywhere but AFAC!” So, they made the trip down to introduce Bronte to the water for the very first time 🎉

From helping shape AFAC’s Swim School to bringing his own daughter here for her very first swim… talk about a full-circle moment! 🥹💙
