A wet wipe monster?!
This week the Urban Utilities Water Ranger visited us to educate our young people on all things water and toilets. Did you know many wet wipe brands advertise as “flushable” which is untrue and can cause wastewater pipes to burst and a wastage of valuable resources? Brody the Water Ranger shared their knowledge on the 3P’s (P*e, Poo & Paper) as the only items that are truly “flushable”. The experience featured song, dance and the cheeky puppet, Blocka, the wet wipe monster who loves to live in the pipes and cause mischief.
This curriculum aligned experience supported our kids to learn to respect the environment, be curious about the world around them and our potential to have positive and negative impacts on that world.
All participants took home an A5 work booklet with activities, colouring-in and a sticker sheet. A big thank you to Urban Utilities for their service and you can find more information regarding Urban Utilities education program on their website.
