“If something wasn’t okay for a young person… would you know what to do?”

Young people notice the adults who show up.
We notice the ones who listen.
We notice the ones who check in.
And we really notice when someone knows how to help.

That’s why this matters 👇

POV: It’s Tuesday after the long weekend and you’re feeling it 😴💀

King’s Birthday weekend was elite – sleep-ins, bingeing shows, hanging with mates… but now we’re BACK and wow, reality hits different.

So, from your LIVE4Life Wellington Crew, here are some easy self-care tips to get you back on track:

✨ Start slow – you don’t have to have everything together today. One thing at a time is enough.
💧 Hydrate + eat something decent – iced coffee doesn’t count (sadly).
🚶‍♀️ Get outside for a bit – fresh air actually helps your mood more than you think.
📵 Take a break from scrolling and Journal – your brain deserves a rest too.
💬 Talk to someone you trust and check in with your mates– chances are they’re feeling the same post-long weekend slump.

Remember: it’s okay to feel a bit off after a big weekend. Be kind to yourself 💛

The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is All In, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.

All In makes clear that reconciliation is not a spectator sport and that all of us must step away from the sidelines and take action to make change.

The theme also reminds us that reconciliation and advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights isn’t a passive activity, and it is not solely the responsibility of First Nations people, who have carried the weight of championing, explaining and acting for far too long.

Reconciliation will not happen by itself, and it will not happen without all of us.

Each year, 26 May marks National Sorry Day, acknowledging the Stolen Generations — Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children forcibly removed from their families between the mid-1800s and 1970s — and the tabling of the Bringing them home report in 1997.

The theme for this year’s National Sorry Day is From Sorry to Action.

The call is clear, we must move from words to action, and this needs to happen now, not in another decade.

Acknowledging past harm is important, but acting to address it is critical. Sorry signals compassion, action delivers justice.

We encourage you to mark National Sorry Day on 26 May, and to stand with us to ensure this day is part of an ongoing commitment to truth-telling and healing.

First tile text: National Sorry Day 26 May, From Sorry to Action.
Second tile test: National Sorry Day matters, but sorry without action is not enough.
As we mark the 29th anniversary of the Bringing them home report, this moment demands leadership, accountability and action that delivers justice and healing within survivors’ lifetimes.

Live4Life Wellington ☁️

Earlier this month we partnered with Lifeline Gippsland to deliver free Youth Mental Health First Aid Training for the community. Big thanks to the instructor Jack.

✅ 17 adults are now qualified to assist young people with their mental health
👉 This training equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to a young person experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis.

We can deliver these opportunities with thanks to funding and financial support from Community Bank Maffra & District and Gippsland PHN

Next up is Yarram's turn 🎉
