'Grittleton' is a character filled 1950s Homestead, built for a large family and generous entertaining. Still a working sheep and wheat farm which is leased, the home is now used solely as a family retreat. Explore the amazing rock formations on Spences Hill and the red gum valley, the Views are spectacular. Relax with local wines on the verandah or lounge, taking in district views and spectacular sunsets. Out the back you will find a gas BBQ, flat grassed play areas, a large outdoor dining area with long dining table which can seat 20 under a covered loggia. During warmer months the in-ground pool will keep you cool. There are bikes for all shapes and sizes - BYO helmets and ride around the property or venture onto the quiet roads. There is also undercover parking for two cars and level access from the driveway. INSIDE:
Kitchen - everything you need to cook up a storm, and serve with style. There is a dishwasher, large fridge with freezer, pantry, Miele cook-top and double wall ovens. The master bedroom boasts a really soft king size four poster bed, with district views from French doors leading to the wrap around verandah. The Queen bedroom is huge and has a queen size quality ensemble, extra single bed in same room and en-suite with separate toilet. Kids rooms:

You will have access to the whole house and property, except there is a small cottage next door which is out of bounds to gether with the sheds and stable. You are welcome to explore the property and especially Spences Hill which has amazing rock formations, but remember to always leave gates as you find them other wise stock may not get to water and well the Rams may .........

'Grittleton' is only 2.5 hours from Melbourne, and 1.5 hours from Ballarat in the Northern Grampians. The nearest town, St Arnaud is 10 kilometres down the road. It is a historic village boasting beautiful civic and botanical gardens, gorgeous gold rush era architecture, great pubs and of course wonderful local produce. Visit the local tourist information centre for all the best advice on what to see and do - they are full of local knowledge you cannot find online! The Pyrenees wine district is on the doorstep, and is producing some cracker reds well worth exploring. The world famous Grampians National Park is less than an hour away and in an hour you can be strolling the streets of Bendigo! Try your luck at fossicking in The Golden Triangle, situated in the Greater Central Goldfields Region a short drive away. On the property itself, you will have access to Spencer's Hill, covered with spectacular rock formations, beautiful views and lots of wildlife. Lots of space for you to get those teenage kids driving under your supervision. BYO car and at your risk! Getting Around
You will definitely need a car! No trains, buses, taxis around here. Although there are plenty of spots to land a helicopter! Other Things to Note
With 3G and 4G internet coverage for mobiles - no WI-FI or landline in the house. We find Telstra coverage is better for mobile internet, but for voice, all services have good strength. There is a supermarket at St Arnaud, open 7 days per week with extended hours and has a bottle-shop showcasing local wines and a complete delicatessen.
