Update: Road has reopened, please drive safely.

Ruby Fire Brigade is currently on scene of a motor vehicle accident on the Strzelecki Highway.

The Strzelecki Highway is currently closed in both directions between Mardan Road and Leongatha Yarragon Road. Motorists are asked to seek an alternative route, follow directions of emergency services to allow us to operate safely.

Ruby Fire Brigade is currently on scene of a motor vehicle accident on the South Gippsland Highway at Ruby.

Strike Team Deployment - Walwa Bushfire

Ruby Tanker 1 has been deployed as part of a strike team to the Walwa bushfire. Our thoughts are with the local community and all firefighters working tirelessly on the ground across the state.

Thanks to the continued support of the over the past 10 years, the brigade remains operational with our new Light Tanker available to provide protection to the local area while Tanker 1 is deployed.

Community support plays a vital role in brigade capability. Thank you.
