Hello friends,
This will be my last share for the Roma on Bungil Gallery exhibition with Cate Day. With one week left, it has been such a great experience and thank you for such positive feedback from you all re the collection. It is heartwarming to know that some of my pieces have found homes across SW/SE Qld and NSW! Feeling grateful.
Here is the last poem to go with Cockatoo Rabble!

Cockatoo Rabble!
Raucous flocks of white and yellow descend to forage,
the sentry perched high, awaiting danger.
They feast on nature’s buffet — seeds, nuts, berries, roots, and insects —
crunching branches to keep strong beaks trimmed.
They screech and whistle, playful and curious,
social, intelligent, gloriously noisy.
For forty years they watch the world beside a lifelong mate,
returning to the same high tree hollows to tend their young.
Their wild chorus carrying across the sky.
