🚨 PRINCIPAL'S WRAP – WEEK 8! 👏❤️
Another week, another look behind the scenes with Ms Bunn — and this week she was spreading appreciation, getting hands-on with Health Bundle and discovering what our students have been creating!

This week she:

🎁 Became our very own Gift Fairy, delivering a little appreciation to our amazing Teacher Aides as part of Teacher Aide Appreciation Week. A big thank you to the people who make such a difference to our students every day! ❤️

🩺 Took on the role of a patient for our Health Bundle students, putting their practical skills to the test as she was assisted out of bed, went for an assisted walk and had her blood pressure and temperature checked. We think she may have been a very cooperative patient! 😂

🧁 Visited our Year 10 Hospitality students as they whipped up a batch of delicious scones — but discovered there was a little disagreement about the correct way to eat them! Apparently, breaking a scone in half and enjoying it as a little sandwich with filling in the middle isn't everyone's preferred method! 😂 We’ll let the students decide...

🔨 Checked out our Year 10 Design Technology (Manual Arts) students as they brought their term project to life — building, gluing and staining their very own coffee tables. We can't wait to see the finished products!

From celebrating our staff to getting hands-on with student learning, Ms Bunn has once again been busy connecting with our Hawks and seeing the incredible work happening across North Rocky! 👏

📚 REMINDER: STUDENT FREE DAY
Just a reminder that tomorrow, Friday 4 September, is a Student Free Day.

While students enjoy a day away from school, our non-teaching staff will be undertaking professional development to continue building their knowledge and skills to support our students.

Classes return to normal on Monday 7 September 2026.

Join us on Thursday 10 September at First Break in the Amphitheatre for games on the lawn, a FREE sausage sizzle, and a chance to connect with the wonderful staff who are here to support your wellbeing and mental health.

🚨 PRINCIPAL'S WRAP – WEEK 7! 📚💙❤️
It’s been a book-tastic week at North Rocky as we celebrated Book Week in true Principal’s Wrap style! 📖✨

This week, Ms Bunn:

📕 Dressed up as Where’s Wally? and went into hiding around Rockhampton! 👀🔎 We spotted her hiding in our Junior Hawks Library, before she ventured out into the community and popped up at Glenmore State High School and Rockhampton State High School. Did you find her? 😉

📚 Then Ms Bunn and Ms Taylor attended a Reading Professional Development Day — and of course, they had to attend in style! 🎭📖

👑 Our Book Week Dress-Up Day was a HUGE hit, with Ms Bunn and our Deputy Principals transforming into some seriously spectacular Disney Villains! 🖤💜🧙‍♀️

🎭 And finally, Ms Bunn visited our Year 12 General English students as they presented their modern adaptations of Shakespeare’s Othello. What an incredible way to bring a classic text into the modern world — great work, Year 12s! 👏📚

From hiding in libraries to becoming Disney villains and exploring Shakespeare, it’s safe to say Book Week brought out the best of Ms Bunn! 😂📖

🎓 One last whole-school parade…
Yesterday marked a pretty special moment for our Year 12s as they made their final exit from a whole-school parade! ❤️

With just 84 days until their final day of Year 12 on 20 November, the countdown is officially on! ⏰🎓

From Monday, our Year 12s move to an alternate timetable for the remainder of Term 3 as they head into the final stretch of their senior schooling.

Enjoy these final moments, Year 12 — your next chapter is just around the corner! 🦅❤️
