Happy New Year Capricornia! 💥

…and what a year 2025 is going to be.

One of the biggest events last year was Beef 2024, a spectacle that showcased Central Queensland's critical $1.7 Billion Beef Industry.

Something I, Colin Boyce MP and Senator Matthew Canavan will be continuing to fight for in 2025 is CQ's critical beef roads. 🚛

The previous Coalition Government had committed $400 Million to ensuring our Beef Roads were worthy for transporting cattle across this vast part of the state. This would ensure safety for our truck drivers, our farmers and the industry.

The current Labor Government has only committed $45 Million to the Beef Corridors Road Network, over a three year plan. This disgusting lack of priority shows just what the Federal Labor Government thinks of Central Queensland. 📉

Lets get what Central Queensland deserves this new year.

Central Queensland is calling on the Albanese Labor Government to restore the federal Beef Road funding in full.

With the Coalition commitment slashed, Federal Labor have shown CQ their true colours. They don't care about our region.

When CQ contributes so much to the Labor Government's bottom line, we deserve some serious investment in return.

With claims Federal Labor are still funding the CQ Beef Roads in full, it’s important to look at the facts.

As you can see in the Infrastructure Timeline submitted to the Senate, Federal Labor have only assigned just over 10% of the originally allocated $400 million for CQ Beef Road upgrades over three financial years.

You can also see that Federal Labor has stripped $305.1 million from the budget altogether, cutting three quarters of the funding the Coaliton had pencilled for our CQ Beef Roads.

If Labor has increased the funding, where is it in the budget?
