Here is one of our keepers making some delicious capsicum boats stuffed with minced chicken, mushrooms and capsicum.

Join us for the first of our 2026 Backyard Habitat Community Events, in partnership with the RRC's Sustainability Unit!

Discover the joy of growing your own vegetables! Get hands-on experience potting vegetable seeds and creating your own labels to take home. 🌿

This fun and educational activity encourages adults and children to connect with nature, learn about where food comes from, and develop an appreciation for sustainable gardening in your own backyard.

Happy 26th birthday, Many!

We threw Many and the chimp troop a birthday party to celebrate.

The chimpanzees were given lettuce, snow peas, dried fruit and pellet scatters, cups and PVC pipes filled with chia seeds and kidney beans, and ice-blocks made of fruit tea and blueberries.

Our zookeepers also decorated the chimp dens with chalk drawings and a tower of boxes filled with woodwool.

Many actually managed to grab his cake and eat it before anyone else could! The cake was made of Weet-Bix, sultanas, desiccated coconut and dried apple.

Join us for a croc-tastic morning of fun as we dive into a delightful crocodile story, followed by a creative crocodile-themed craft activity.

Perfect for little explorers who love stories, and our amazing wildlife. We can’t wait to see your little hatchlings there for some snappy fun!
