E-bike power matters 🚲⚡

To be legal, your e-bike must meet strict power limits:
• Max 250W and cut out at 25 km/h (EPAC)
• Not have a throttle that powers over 6km/h (EPAC)
OR
• Max 200W (power-assisted bicycle)
And it must have working pedals.
Travelling at a safe speed starts with a legal e-bike.

Yesterday was R U OK? Day, a reminder that checking in with people around us is important, not just today, but any day we’re concerned someone may be struggling.

This week the youth team visited Norwood Secondary College for their whole of school R U OK? Day event and also at the R U OK? Day - Mental Health & Wellbeing Expo at Melba College. We had a great time connecting with the students and promoting services and supports available.

Starting a conversation doesn’t mean you need to have all the answers. Sometimes, just giving someone the time and space to talk, listening without judgement and letting them know you’re there can be an important first step.
R U OK? recommends four simple steps:
💛 ASK R U OK? Find a time when you can give the conversation your full attention.
💛 Listen. Give them space to talk without judgement or rushing to solve the problem.
💛 Encourage action. Ask how you can support them and, if needed, encourage them to connect with professional support.
💛 Check in. Follow up and let them know you’re still there.
