⛏️ Year 5 Camp – Day 1 Done! 🤠

Our Year 5 students have stepped back in time and fully embraced life on the goldfields! From exploring the sights, sounds and stories of the 1850s to taking part in hands-on activities, it has been a fantastic first day of learning and adventure.

The RNPS Junior School Council is proud to share that our school is taking part in the Big Freeze DIY to fundraise for FightMND.

In honour of Neale Daniher, the man who showed us “it’s not what you say, it’s what you do”, we proudly hold our first RNPS Big Freeze on the Green.

MND is a progressive and cruel disease slowly takes away a person’s most basic abilities, all within an average of just 27 months. It does not just affect the person diagnosed, it reshapes the lives of every family and loved one around them.

This year, we are putting FIVE of our brave (and slightly nervous) RNPS staff members on the line for the icy challenge! Cast your vote by making a donation through our page, and don’t forget to pop your chosen staff member’s name in the ‘Leave a message’ box when you donate.

Voting is simple: $2 gets you 1 vote, and $5 gets you 3 votes. The staff with the most votes face the freeze! Every dollar donated goes directly to improving care for people living with MND, funding research into more effective treatments, and one day, finding a cure. It only takes a minute, so get voting for the following brave nominees:

At RNPS we’re so lucky to have a wonderful community always willing to help make a difference for our students. ❤️

It’s been a huge week — from Cross Country, to settling further into our ‘Flourish with Fluency’ program, and the legendary PFA Mother’s Day Stall! 💪🏼 WOW… what a week!

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, energy and support to make it all happen. We’re grateful for such a friendly, dedicated and supportive community. 😃

A special shoutout to Jodie for organising the Mother’s Day gifts through Eastland, allowing 100% of profits to go directly to the school. 🙌🏼 Thank you to our whole amazing PFA team for envisioning, coordinating and setting up the stall. Dear 2026 RNPS families,

We warmly invite you to join us for our Open Afternoon as part of Education Week 2026.

🗓️ Thursday 21st May
🕝 2:30 - 3:30pm - visit your child’s classroom
3:30pm - school dismissal
3:45 - 4:30pm - as a family, visit classrooms across the school to see what’s happening in 2026.
🧑‍🧒 Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian from 3:30pm onwards.

We look forward to welcoming our current families into our classrooms as our students proudly share their learning with our community.
