Our School Captains respectfully represented our school community at the ANZAC Dawn Service in Ringwood this morning. We were delighted to hear of a direct connection to Gallipoli through the great-great-great grandfather of our School Captain, what an honour.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Grade 3/4's Investigate Sustainability ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

On Wednesday, Adam from Bee Healthy Stories came to talk to the Grade 3 and 4 students as part of their Science learning about the uses of materials. He talked about the lifespans of different kinds of waste and all the different ways we can not only recycle - but upcycle!

Students brought in old t-shirts and upcycled them into useful (and stylish!) bags without any sewing machines or staples. It was very interesting to see the impact of different materials on the environment and the amazing things we can do to reduce landfill waste!

โœ–๏ธโž– Place value animals came to life in the Grade 2! โž— โž•

The term has started well with students beginning to develop a strong understanding of three-digit numbers, with the important knowledge that 10 tens = 1 hundred.

The classrooms were abuzz with mathematical conversations, as students worked to determine the place value of each animal they created.

We are so excited to welcome our families to the 2026 school year. Our staff spent time together today (before the heat set in) preparing our routines and behaviour norms ready for the arrival of most of our students tomorrow.

โž—๐Ÿ•Pizza + Maths = the perfect combo! ๐Ÿ•โž—

Our Grade 2s had a deliciously fun time exploring fractions this week! Students created their own โ€œfraction pizzasโ€ to learn how wholes can be divided into equal parts.

A big thank-you to Exeter Pizza for generously donating the pizza boxes that made this hands-on activity even more exciting!
