Last week, Friday Social Group celebrated the Moon Festival and Father’s Day.
There was lots of chatting, laughter, karaoke, dancing, yummy cake and good company! 🥮🍰😊 It was lovely to see everyone enjoying the afternoon and celebrating together.
A big thank you to Cr Meca Ho for dropping by with some yummy cake to share and to Cr Sarah McKenzie for coming along and spending time with our community. ❤️

We got out to Butler Park today and had some of Jovita’s incredible noodles. Thanks to everyone who came and to Andrea and Greg from Safe and Welcoming Spaces who chatted to people about what they’d like to see in the local area. Huge thanks to Maurice for his help today and great playlist! Next date will be announced soon and we can’t wait to see you there. Thanks to Crime Stoppers Victoria Neighbourhood Justice Centre and Victoria Police for coming today for the Safety Information Session. Thanks to Carringbush Adult Education for inviting their students along too. This was part of the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing - VIC North Richmond Precinct progam.

46% of Neighbourhood Houses have been operating at a loss for three years.

This is not sustainable for the sector and a solution cannot wait. We need an urgent boost to funding to keep our communities connedted.

So excited our bikes from Second Chance Cycles (based in Collingwood underground car park) have arrived ready for our first session with Bike It Better next week! Thank you to James for picking these up for us and supporting active transport. People will be trying to balance and ride the bike for the first time with instructor Jenny.
