And that’s a wrap! It’s so hard to believe our 2026 school production is over. Stay tuned for many more photos and videos next week. We didn’t want to give anything away to our THREE SOLD OUT SHOWS this week so we’ve been quiet on the socials about how well it went. We are so incredibly proud of our students, both cast and crew. Well done team! And a huge thank you to Liz, Dean and Tach - our amazing production staff. You three made the show amazing and we are so grateful for you for providing our talented RHS kids with such an amazing opportunity.

Yesterday, our Year 7 ECP students took their Chinese learning beyond the classroom! They watched the Chinese film All Wishes Come True, then headed to Chinatown where they practised ordering food in Chinese and enjoyed a delicious Chinese lunch.
The day continued with a visit to an Asian supermarket, where students explored and sampled a variety of snacks from China and other Asian countries.
A fantastic day of learning Chinese through film, food and culture!

Wear a splash of purple tomorrow! “Courage is not just expressed in big moments, but in everyday choices to live proudly and invite others into understanding, acceptance and celebration.”
Wear It Purple Day 2026 - Colours of Courage.
Colours of Courage celebrates the many different forms of courage shown by LGBTQIA+SB young people, allies and communities every day.
The colours in this year’s theme reflect the diversity of identities, experiences and stories within our communities.

Richmond High School supported by The Department of Education recognises Wear It Purple Day and supports all le***an, gay, bisexual, trans and gender diverse, intersex, q***r, questioning, asexual, sistergirls and brotherboys (LGBTIQA+SB) young people in our schools and the community.

⛺️ YEAR 8 CAMP ⛺️ On Year 8 camp adventures included lots of camp activities, like hut building, leap of faith and milk crate stacking. Though I think the kids enjoyed the cheeseburger bar more.

Lots of walking and exploring the beautiful national park and we found ourselves enjoying the space with a few kangaroos.

🎶 Our Year 9 Enhanced Chinese students headed to Box Hill for a traditional Chinese music excursion! 🇨🇳

They had a fantastic time learning about traditional music, trying out instruments and, most importantly, making lots of noise! 😂🎵

A fun and memorable day of learning outside the classroom!

At RHS the 2026 National Science Week theme is Seeds of Science: Nurturing Knowledge for All. This year’s theme invites students to think about how ideas begin, how they are tested, and how they grow when shared. It reminds us that scientific understanding does not appear fully formed. It starts small – like a seed – and depends on the right conditions: curiosity, evidence, collaboration and time. Science is a critical field that helps both children and adults develop key critical thinking skills and make sense of the world around them. We at RHS will be taking time to engage in a range of activities throughout the week including: researching and presenting a scientific topic of interest, seeding crystals and looking at their structure under a microscope, exploring a virtual tour of the international seed bank, and will close out the week by planting seeds in our balcony planter boxes. A big thank you to Melinda, Sophia, Emma and Marly for creating the beautiful posters you’ll see around the school!
