We have lots of Parents, Partners, Siblings combos but we are pretty sure this is our first 3 generation and certainly our first Father/Daughter combo

A Total Fire Ban has been declared for the Central, Wimmera, South West, North Central and West & South Gippsland fire weather districts for Tuesday 17 February 2026.

No fires can be lit, or be allowed to remain alight, in the open air from 12:01 AM until 11:59 PM.

Hi everyone, There were some lightning hits last night in a line from Logan through Whela and the caves, Kingower and then on through to the river. There was a bit of rain so no immediate danger but...... we always like to know of any burning trees out there as soon as we can. Please have a look at lunchtime or this arvo if you can make it to a hilltop. The rain makes it a bit smoky looking but if you see a column of smoke rising call 000 and tell them where it is.....Thanks

So 2000 community minded folk have applied to volunteer with CFA in the last 2 weeks.........are you interested in making this number about 12 more???? Rheola are accepting expressions of interest if you are local and would like to help. Lots of roles not only firefighters. We have gear and sheds and trucks to look after. We have community to connect to and lots of admin work to do. We even have a junior program if you are 11 to 16. Great people doing great things......Help make us even better.

Give us a hand - Volunteer with CFA. There are many ways you can lend a hand. Fighting fires, educating your community on fire safety or supporting the team from behind the scenes.
