In May 1950 my mother as a 12 year old arrived with her family to this great country and settled in Australia Ave Matraville.
She tells the story that it rained every day throughout the month of May and coming from a dry country thought they might have to build an ark!!
For the next 50 years with out fail it rained every May and she would quote the same story
Unfortunately, she wasn’t around to tell the story to the organisers of Vivid
