A recall has been issued by ACCC Product Safety for RV-One HDJYF1001-1 pressure regulators fitted to the gas systems of some Snowy River and Newgen caravans.

The diaphragm inside the regulator can fail, causing LPG gas to leak. If leaking gas builds up or reaches an ignition source, it can cause a fire, an explosion, serious injury or death.

There is also a risk of asphyxiation if gas accumulates in an enclosed space.

The affected regulator has AGA approval number 9191 and is mounted on the A-frame at the front of the caravan, between the gas cylinders and the body of the van.

AFAC has just dropped the Australian Seasonal Bushfire Outlook for Spring, and it’s pointing to an earlier start to the season this year. Parts of eastern and western Victoria are already feeling the pinch from drought, which means a higher bushfire risk as we head into spring and summer.

Under these conditions, we could see multiple large fires as early as October in parts of the state — so now’s the perfect time to get your plan and property sorted.

🚨28 future firefighters stormed the station today — St Aloysius Prep and Grade 1 came for Truck Time 🚒

After a safety briefing (safety first, always! 👍), the kids got fully hands-on — squirting water from the truck, taking on a Class A (water) fire extinguisher, and getting a monitor demo from a safe distance. The excitement on their faces said it all 😄💦

Teachers and parents were right in the thick of it too — big kids at heart!😆

They headed back to school with big smiles, activity books, stickers and fire safety tips.
