“If it ain’t raining, it ain’t training.”

Despite the wet conditions, the CRV ROBC completed its first live-fire assessment, with A Patrol successfully conducting a coordinated break to secure a creek crossing.

The activity tested the patrol’s ability to manoeuvre, communicate and apply tactical procedures under realistic battlefield conditions while maintaining effective fire control and situational awareness.

A strong start to the tactics phase of the course and a valuable step in developing capable and combat-ready CRV Troop Leaders.

Earlier this month, soldiers from Corps Training Wing RAAC Common Session 0057, Holding Troop, CRV Driver and Tank Driver courses conducted Battle PT designed to test both physical endurance and combat readiness.

The activity included a 7km pack march, fire and movement between cover, leopard crawls, a bayonet assault course, an Army Combatives Program refresher, and concluded with carries and box lifts.

This training ensures soldiers are conditioned to the demanding physical standards required of a combat arms soldier, while reinforcing resilience, teamwork, and battlefield fundamentals essential to operating in high-pressure environments.
