What’s your favourite soup? I recently made a delicious broccoli, cauliflower and lemon soup. I am now slow cooking a hock ready for my next soup.
June is here, bringing cooler days, warm kitchens and opportunities to focus on our wellbeing.
This month, The South Australian Country Women’s Association Inc. is celebrating Winter Warmth, Wellbeing and Soup.
For SACWA, wellbeing is about more than physical health. It is found in the friendships we build, the support we give, the knowledge we share, the comfort we offer and the purpose we find in serving others. It is the warm welcome at a meeting, the helping hand in times of need, the skills passed from one generation to another and the connections that strengthen our communities.
Throughout June we will explore the many ways wellbeing has shaped SACWA's history and continues to influence our work today. From stories of resilience in our archives, to comforting winter recipes, to ideas that help us stay connected and support one another, we hope there will be something for everyone.
💬 We'd love to hear from you!
What helps keep you well during winter?
Perhaps it's:
❤️ A favourite comfort food
❤️ Time with family and friends
❤️ Learning a new skill
❤️ Volunteering in your community
❤️ A walk in nature
❤️ A warm cup of tea and a good book
