On the 26th May, we held a training session at the newly refurbished training room of Gloucester SES/RFS shed.

Thank you to the Whitsunday Regional Council for supporting this upgrade.

We presented our Gloucester members with service pins and certificates. The Gloucester SES group has been reestablished over the last 12 months and we thank Gaye, Peter, Gary, Kerri and Ian for coming on board and helping us get the SES word out

National Volunteer Week is a time to celebrate the people who generously give their time to support and strengthen our communities. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication, service and support provided by our SES members and all volunteers throughout our region.

We had a fantastic time celebrating 70 years of Under 8's yesterday. The weather was spectacular and the atmosphere was brilliant.

Today we say thank you to our amazing volunteers.

The volunteers who are always there to help in storms, floods, cyclones, land searches and everything in between.

The volunteers who train week in, week out to ensure they are ready to help when you need them.

The volunteers who are a part of numerous community volunteer groups because they love their community and want to help in every way.

The volunteers who leave work and home at the drop of a hat, day or night, to help their community.

Today is WOW Day and today we thank all our volunteers in orange for the dedication, commitment, resilience and amazing strength for all they do for their community.

This National Volunteers Week, we thank the incredible Queenslanders who give their time to support others and strengthen our communities 💙

From volunteer firefighters and SES crews to local sporting clubs, show societies and community groups - volunteers are the heart of the Whitsundays and communities right across Queensland.

This year’s theme, “Your Year to Volunteer”, is a great reminder of the difference volunteering makes every day. Thank you to everyone who steps up to help others.
