It's been a busy Sunday for the Tweed Coast brigade, starting with a 2:30am car fire just south of the bridge on Tweed Coast Road. The vehicle crashed into a power pole, snapping it in half and bringing down power lines before becoming fully engulfed in flames.

Upon returning to station four hours later, our crew was immediately paged to an overheated EV car battery in Pottsville, thankfully without major incident.

And lastly our volunteers were called to a single vehicle car crash on Clothiers Creek Road just before lunchtime.

Coming up in August - a huge fundraising ball for the Tweed Coast Brigade!

✨ SAVE THE DATE ✨

The Tweed Coast is coming together for something truly special.

On Saturday 1st August 2026, Tweed Coast Collective proudly presents the very first
Tweed Coast Winter Charity Ball at Babalou Kingscliff.

This year, we are raising funds to support the incredible volunteers of the Tweed Coast Rural Fire Service – the first responders who protect our homes, our families and our small towns.

An evening of connection, gratitude and community spirit.
A beautiful winter ball.
A 2-course meal, music, raffles and purpose.

This is more than an event.
It’s our chance to give back to those who show up for us every single time.

Mark your calendars. Gather your friends.
Tickets and sponsorship details coming soon.

Let’s make this a night the Tweed Coast will remember ❤️

It was a busy Sunday for Tweed Coast brigade volunteers!

First call was around lunchtime, where we responded to a bushfire. Second call was a few hours later, a motor vehicle accident at Seabreeze.

Third call was mid afternoon - as per the video - a bushfire that started in bushland behind the Pottsville Ambulance station and came close to a few properties (thanks to Cudgen Rural Fire Brigade for their assistance).

And lastly, our fourth call of the day was an Ambulance Assist at Round Mountain, just after dinnertime.

Interested in volunteering for the RFS? Tweed Coast is looking for new recruits - doesn't matter what your skill set is, you can assist on the frontlines or behind the scenes.

Almost time for the 2025 Tweed Coast Santa Run!

With a sprinkle of yuletide magic, Xmas Eve will see the Tweed Coast RFS accompany Santa from the Pottsville Sports and Bowls Club area around 3:15pm. One fire truck will first cover the Pottsville North region, before heading to Black Rocks and then driving north back into Pottsville.

A second fire truck will start from Seabreeze around the same time, travelling into Koala Beach and then Hastings Point.

Cabarita and Bogangar residents can expect a visit from Santa with help from the Cudgen Rural Fire Brigade, please check their page for timings.
