Looking for some more Sun in your life? Come down to the Portland library from 6pm tonight and create an artwork for our next art exhibition with the Sun as your inspiration. We have some ideas on a self guided worksheet or you can go with your own creativity. All media welcome.

Author, artist and disability advocate Justine Martin knows that resilience is rarely neat, cheerful or accomplished according to schedule. Her story is one of illness, adversity and reinvention, but also of finding purpose and continuing to show up when life refuses to follow the expected script.

This Monday, Justine joins us at Portland Library for a frank and hopeful conversation about identity, courage and what it really means to move forward.

Copies of Justine books, including her memoir "Moxie", will be available for sale on the night.

📚✨ Book Week fun! ✨📚

Some photos from the Glenelg Libraries Book Week activities last week!

For Storytime, we enjoyed reading Dear Broccoli 🥦 and then got creative with a broccoli-themed craft. We were also delighted to welcome a group of kindergarten children to join our regular Storytime crew.

And, of course, everyone got into the Book Week spirit by dressing up — including our book return chute at the front desk!

It was such a fun week filled with books, creativity and plenty of smiles. We hope everyone is already planning their costumes for next year! 🎭✨
