Residents, business owners, community representatives and stakeholders can nominate now to join two Community Reference Groups for gas plants in the shire.

• Beach Energy Otway Gas Plant Community Reference Group
• Lochard Energy Iona Gas Plant Community Liaison Group

Community Reference Groups provide a forum for open communication between gas plant operators, Council, and the community.

The groups help share information, discuss community concerns, and support transparency around plant operations, safety, environmental performance, and compliance.

Interested people can submit an expression of interest by 5 pm, Friday 27 March.

Have your say on parking in Port Campbell.

Council is developing a Parking Strategy to ensure the best use of existing parking infrastructure in the Port Campbell township.

We want to hear your experiences and feedback to ensure that the parking strategy provides for the needs and amenity of residents and businesses, while also improving the visitor experience.

Our crews are completing maintenance works to small sections of footpath in Port Campbell.

There will be brief interruptions while crews complete the finishing touches.

We’re planning works so paths remain open over weekends.

Please follow signs in the area and take care around workers.

There will be a partial closure of McCue Street and Hennessy Street, Port Campbell, on Friday due to a private construction project.

Details: Friday 23 January 2026, 8 am - 4 pm.
Private building works. Corner of McCue and Hennessy streets.

Please observe signage and travel controllers.

Delays are expected, please seek an alternative route.

Please note: This is not a Council project. This post is to ensure the community is aware of the closure.

The curing process is now complete and the tarp has been removed, revealing the stunning work beneath!

Our talented artists will be returning soon to add the final touches, including immersive sound elements and landscaping to bring the space to life.

Mosaic Mural Installation – Port Campbell Foreshore

Next week, specialists will begin installing a vibrant new mosaic mural on the Port Campbell Foreshore, celebrating the rich history and stories of our town.

Created by renowned Keerray Woorroong artist Dr Vicki Couzens, the mosaic is the result of a collaborative effort with the local community and features imagery inspired by Port Campbell’s cultural heritage.

Installation will take place throughout the week, with site preparation and a marquee in place during the works.

We can’t wait to see this stunning piece of art come to life on the foreshore!
