Gluten free baking talk.
We invite you to our next open day on Sunday
3 May 2026, when we will be featuring a Gluten Free Baking talk at 3 pm. Presented by Susan Walsh from Panna Artisan Gluten Free Bakery in Palmyra.

You can also have any of your bread and sourdough baking questions answered by qualified bakers.

HOT CROSS BUN BAKING
It's that time of year when we like to fill our kitchens with the spicy aroma of freshly baked hot cross buns.

Melville History Society invites you to a baking demonstration at the Miller Bakehouse Museum.

Demonstration on hot cross bun making for beginners and seasoned home bakers.

Freshly baked hot cross buns will be available for sampling and recipes will be provided. You can also have your bread and sourdough baking questions answered by qualified bakers.

If attending the baking demonstration, you will need to register your interest by phone or text to John Noonan on 0413945755 or email [email protected]

The museum is open if you just want to explore. In the museum, we have a recently restored 100 year old Bakers Trough and a new movie clip demonstrating the operation of an old wood fired brick oven.
