Today our Year 2/3 class treated us to a fantastic performance as part of the FORM Creative Learning Program. Using Alison Lester’s book 'Are We There Yet?', students:
- explored literacy by writing their own song
- used technologies to create their own instruments
- connected with HASS by learning about Australia’s unique places and landmarks
This is our second year being part of FORM's Creative Schools, a program that connects teachers, students and creative practitioners to bring the WA curriculum to life in fun, engaging, and meaningful ways. Through creativity, students build skills like imagination, collaboration, inquisitiveness, persistence and self-discipline, while developing engagement and a deeper love of learning.
A huge thank you to: Vanessa Bradley (Program Lead, Creative Schools), Felicity Groom (Creative Practitioner), Mrs Di Camillo (Class Teacher) and of course, our amazing students!
We are so proud to be building creative communities and making learning come alive at Curtin Primary School.
