Are you heading to the Southerner’s Annual Fishing event in Hopetoun this weekend?
Make sure your lifejackets are fit for purpose and have them checked at the ‘Make a Difference’ lifejacket clinic this Friday evening.

Hey Skippers.
Have you transitioned yet?
All registrable vessels in unprotected waters are required to be equipped with GPS EPIRB’s by 1 September 2028.
Check the expiry date of your distress beacon and make a plan to change over before this date.

This free guide contains all the info needed to navigate Geographe Bay safely - including speed limits and restrictions at Busselton Jetty. ⚓🚧

The Bunbury Boating Guide has also been refreshed with additional information about the Collie River and Leschenault Estuary. 🛶🌳

Our Senior Regional Officers Michael Kent and Joshua Keys will be promoting the new guide on patrol in the South West. 🛥️

The Marine Safety team will be in your neighbourhood to conduct a lifejacket maintenance clinic at Lorna Mitchell Spring Festival, Memorial Drive 12/10/25 from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm. If you haven’t checked your lifejackets in the last twelve months you should see us. Bring your lifejackets for a free assessment with any/all parts provided FREE.
We will also take your expired EPIRB and flares off your hands too.
