Whiteman Park is a unique conservation and recreation reserve in Perth's northern suburbs, with museums, wildlife and more. Covering nearly 3,700 hectares of natural bushland and leisure facilities, the Park boasts a fantastic range of attractions and facilities and is a great year-round dest
ination for families. The picturesque grounds of the Village and Mussel Pool are perfect for picnics, with expansive lawns, shady trees and well-appointed facilities including playgrounds, sports courts, BBQs and shelters. Transport heritage is a major theme within the Park’s attractions, which includes Revolutions Transport Heritage Centre, the Motor Museum of Western Australia, the Tractor Museum, and vintage train and tram rides. The popular Caversham Wildlife Park and Nocturnal Woylie Walks of Woodland Reserve offer visitors the opportunity to get up close to some of our native wildlife. Whiteman Park also offers a 14km network of walk/cycle paths, three bush trails, a number of speciality shops and the Children’s Forest, where kids can learn about the bush and its inhabitants. Located on the Swan Coastal Plain, the Park boasts a vast array of native flora and fauna within its banksia woodlands and melaleuca damplands. It also serves to protect the Gnangara Water Mound, acting as an important wetland and water catchment resource.
