Last Repair Cafe Doubleview of 2026 happening Saturday November 14 ♻️🌿

Like all good things, the Repair Cafe year is almost at an end. We have one more event then that's us done until February 2027. So gather up all your things that need repairing/sharpening and come on down to see us on Saturday 14 November.

You'll be able to grab a cuppa, but no sweet mince pies or sherry will be served - it's still nowhere near either Christmas (or our entertainment budget). 🥧🍷

🍔🍟If you're a muncher, next time you're in the Innaloo branch (the one opposite Ikea) please make sure you put your 'Local Matters' token (the coin thing you get with every purchase) in the Repair Cafe Doubleview jar. We're one of their chosen local communities during October.

We really appreciate Grill'd supporting us in this way and would LOVE your support while you enjoy your burger and fries. 🍟🍔

Let's get real, who's a fan of twiddling their thumbs waiting for repairs? 🙋‍♀️ Not us! Our superhero vollies are fixing madly but sometimes you gotta chill. So, why not get your knit (or crochet) on at our Knit and Knatter table? There are people there to help. Our floor volunteers (you know, the ones looking really 'busy') will keep an eye on your spot in the queue. Just give 'em a shout!

You don't have long to wait until our next event though - we'll be at it again on Saturday 12 Sept 🧶🧶🧶 https://tinyurl.com/t7uy8dmf

𝗚𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼? 🛠️⚡
Demand for electrical repairs is booming at our events, and we need licensed electricians to join our volunteer crew! Just one Saturday morning a month makes all the difference to our community and the planet.

Could YOU add a spark to our team? Send a DM to Repair Cafe Doubleview with your name, email, and phone number today!

👀 Ever wondered who makes the big decisions at the Community Centre?
Many people are surprised to learn that our Centre is governed by a volunteer Management Committee.
Each year, we hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) where we:
📖 Share our Annual Report and celebrate what we've achieved together
💡 Talk about our plans for the year ahead
🗳️ Elect the volunteer Management Committee (4 executive positions and up to 8 non-executive positions)
Having an AGM is a legal requirement but also a wonderful way to reflect and celebrate our Community Centre.
We would love for you to attend – come for some snacks and a chat. It is a welcoming and relaxed event.
