Tim now works as an elder and associate pastor at Gosnells Baptist Church, focusing primarily on mission and evangelism. He can see how his studies at Trinity shaped and prepared him for the ministry work he is doing today.

“I’m grateful to Trinity because I’ve never felt like I don’t have the skills I need at my disposal. I’ve never not had the tools to understand a passage. I’ve had to wrestle and work through, but I’ve got the tools to do that with a passage and understand it right,” Tim explains.

Howard pastors the Mandarin congregation at Perth Alliance Church North, a Chinese church with three congregations, made up of a mix of international students, new immigrant families and those who have been in Australia for a long time. His work involves preaching and visiting elderly members of the church, as well as leading kids and worship ministries.

Even to those without a calling for full-time ministry, Howard recommends theological study for all Christians, as it has so many benefits. "It’s not only for those with a call to full-time ministry to do Bible college study."

Please join us in praying for Open Week!

Almighty God, we thank you for the great blessing it is to dedicate time to studying your Word. We pray for those attending our Open Week and considering theological study. Please provide clarity and peace for them as they navigate this season of exploring options and discerning where you are calling them to serve. We pray that as visitors join our lectures, gather with us for chapel, and share in community lunch, they would experience the rich fellowship, supportive community, and Christ-centred environment at Trinity. Amen.
