๐–๐ž๐ž๐ค ๐Ÿ– comes with a special ๐๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐š ๐‹๐ฎ๐ง๐œ๐ก ๐จ๐ง ๐“๐ก๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐๐š๐ฒ, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ ๐’๐ž๐ฉ๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ, as part of our Year 6 fundraising for camp and graduation.

We also continue to provide our students with fantastic opportunities to participate in our ongoing ๐ƒ๐ข๐ ๐ข๐“๐ž๐œ๐ก ๐š๐ง๐ ๐‹๐„๐†๐Ž ๐‚๐ฅ๐ฎ๐›๐ฌ, encouraging creativity, collaboration and hands-on learning.

Next week, we have another week full of celebrations as we enjoy our ๐‹๐ข๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ฒ ๐–๐ž๐ž๐ค!

The week will be packed with exciting events, including our annual ๐’๐ฉ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐๐ž๐ž and ๐’๐ฉ๐ž๐š๐ค๐ข๐ง๐  ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, followed by our ๐’๐ฉ๐ž๐œ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ ๐€๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ฅ๐ฒ. We will then finish the week with our much-anticipated and notorious ๐๐จ๐จ๐ค ๐–๐ž๐ž๐ค ๐ƒ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐”๐ฉ ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ!

There is certainly plenty to look forward to, and we canโ€™t wait to celebrate our students, their achievements and, of course, their love of literacy with our wonderful school community.

Our Year 2 students have been enthusiastically engaging in Talk4Writing as they explored The Deep Dark Wood. Using story maps, actions, and visual prompts, students worked together to orally rehearse the text, developing their confidence, vocabulary, and understanding of story structure.

The classroom was buzzing with excitement as students actively participated in discussions, predicted what might happen next, and used expressive language to retell the story. This interactive approach encourages every child to become a confident storyteller and writer by allowing them to internalise language before putting pen to paper.

It was wonderful to see students so engaged, supporting one another and building their oral language skills through collaboration and creativity. We look forward to seeing these ideas come to life in their own imaginative writing over the coming weeks!
