Our discovery tours commenced again today for the next 5 weeks. We visited Kings Park Botanical Gardens to admire all wildflowers. Walking through the reflection garden was beautiful. We were lucky enough to escape the rain and enjoy a bit of sunshine. After our long walks we all enjoyed lunch at Zamia Cafe. Well deserved after our walk.

Today our Discovery Tours took us to the Fremantle Art Centre. Participants enjoyed all the different artists and how they perceived art. We saw some welding masks to saucepan lids to sardine tins all formed into art. We also made a visit to The Monumental Hill War Memorial. Fantastic views of Fremantle. Was quite windy up there. Finished off with a nice relaxing lunch at Little Stove in Bicton.

At Midland Gateway on a Thursday morning 10am - 11.30am we enjoy some board games. Today we played Bingo, Blockus, fast dice game and as always finish off with a good game of UNO.

Our discovery tours commenced on Friday 28th August with a visit to Heritage listed Halliday house. Built in 1892 in stages. Participants learnt how it became a community resource, heritage centre. A museum that contains artefacts and memorabilia from early part of the century of people, events and places of Bayswater. Followed by a lovely lunch down by the river at The Oarhouse.
