We are proud to announce that the recipient of the Nepean Food Services Volunteer of the Year Award is Keith Smith! 🎉

Keith is an incredibly reliable and dedicated volunteer who is always willing to step in and help with our Meals on Wheels deliveries whenever we need to fill the roster, and he never hesitates to say yes.

Not only does Keith support our meal delivery service, but he also provides medical transport for our Warragamba/Silverdale clients, always offering a timely, friendly and courteous service.

Keith makes a meaningful difference every day by helping ensure members of our community feel connected, supported and cared for. His kindness, commitment and generosity truly embody the spirit of volunteering.

Yesterday, we proudly kicked off National Volunteer Week with a wonderful High Tea celebration - and what an amazing turnout it was! Volunteers, staff and guests came together to celebrate our incredible volunteers who make such a difference in our community. 💚

We would like to sincerely thank Mayor Clr Todd Carney, Karen McKeown OAM - MP for Penrith, Melissa McIntosh MP, Councillor Robin Cook and Councillor Sabbie Kaur for attending, speaking and helping present awards. Your continued support means so much to us.

The celebrations also included a very competitive game of building the tallest tower out of paper, which certainly brought out some competitive streaks! 😄

A fantastic day was had by all as we celebrated the heart of our organisation - our AMAZING volunteers. 👏

Yesterday for our Special Event Outing, clients enjoyed a wonderful day at Regatta Park Kitchen overlooking the beautiful Nepean River.

This fairly new venue, which opened late last year, provided the perfect setting to enjoy delicious food, stunning views and, most importantly, great company!

We're proud to team up with Fire and Rescue NSW Regentville Fire Station to help deliver important fire safety packs to our clients with our meal deliveries.

These packs contain valuable fire safety information to help keep our community safe and prepared.

We are always happy to support initiatives that help spread awareness and protect our senior community members. A big thank you to the amazing firefighters from Fire and Rescue NSW Regentville Fire Station for all that they do! 👏🔥

It is with sadness that we acknowledge the passing of one of our valued clients, Charles Oxenham. We would like to take a moment to honour his life and the impact he had on those around him.

Former Penrith Fire Chief Charles Oxenham is being remembered for his can-do approach to life.
