Today we were lucky enough to welcome Australian author Mick Elliott to PSPS. Our students loved hearing Mick explain how his stories went from ideas to published books, and they especially enjoyed watching him draw pictures and listening to his very funny stories!

Thank you for everything you do behind the scenes and every single day to support our students, staff and school community. Quite simply, we couldn’t run this place without you! Your hard work, care, patience and dedication never go unnoticed, and we are so lucky to have you as part of our Peakhurst South family. 💐👏

We’d also like to wish all the wonderful dads, grandfathers, carers and father figures in our community a very Happy Father’s Day this weekend! 💙

What a fantastic day for our Book Week Parade! With fabulous weather, amazing costumes, and plenty of smiles, our students brought some of their favourite book characters to life.

It was wonderful to see our school community celebrating stories, creativity and, most importantly, fostering a lifelong love of books and reading. ❤️📚

Congratulations to our amazing students who performed at the NSW Public Schools DanceSport Gala last night at the Quaycentre in Homebush. Our 22 dancers have worked incredibly hard all year, mastering salsa, jive, cha cha, and tango. Every couple made it into the semi-finals, with two additional students earning wild card spots. We're thrilled to announce that two of our students became finalists and proudly received trophies! We would like to thank Mrs Abboud and Mrs Mitropoulos for their time, effort, dedication, hair and make-up skills! Well done to all for your dedication and fantastic performances – you’ve made us very proud! 🎉🕺💃

Our District Athletics Track Event was a fantastic success! Our students had a wonderful time representing our school.

It was fantastic to see our students demonstrate enthusiasm, determination and great sportsmanship throughout the day. All students gave their best effort, with some achieving excellent placings in their events.

We are proud of everyone’s achievements and look forward to celebrating their success at our Sports Assembly later next week.

A big congratulations to our talented students who competed at the Field Events District Carnival on Monday 17th August.

Despite the wet conditions, our students showed great enthusiasm, making the most of the day and supporting each other along the way.

Congratulations to the junior and senior debating teams who both won their debates against Penshurst Public School. The topic was ‘That it is important to always be honest’. The juniors argued in the affirmative and the seniors argued in the negative. Well done debaters!

Years 3-6 enjoyed a visit from the St George Police Liaison Officers this morning. We learnt how to stay safe online, avoid giving personal information and how to tell a trusted adult if problems do arise.
