A huge congratulations to our talented PWPS athletes who achieved outstanding results in track events at the Georges River PSSA District Athletics Carnival! 👏

🥈 Junior Boys Relay – 2nd Place
🥇 9 Years 100m – 1st Place
🥈 10 Years 100m – 2nd Place
🥈 11 Years 100m – 2nd Place
🥈 Junior 200m – 2nd Place
🥈 11 Years 200m – 2nd Place
🥈 Junior Long Jump – 2nd Place
🥈 12 Years Discus – 2nd Place

Peakhurst West finished 7th overall with 64 points! These fantastic results have earned our students the opportunity to represent Georges River PSSA at the Sydney East PSSA Athletics Championships at Sydney Olympic Park, alongside our field event winners! 🌟

We are incredibly proud of their hard work, determination and sportsmanship and wish all our PWPS representatives the very best at the next level of competition! 💙💛

Today at PWPS, we recognised R U OK? Day, an important reminder that a simple conversation can make a big difference. 💬

Our students explored ways to be a supportive friend, how to ask “R U OK?” and the importance of listening and showing kindness when someone might be having a tough day. A small check-in can make a big difference. 💛💬

A huge congratulations to our talented students who recently represented PWPS at the Premier and Challenge Tournaments! 👏

Our students achieved fantastic team results of 5th and 7th place in the Premier Tournament, while another student secured an outstanding 3rd-place finish in the Challenge Tournament, earning a well-deserved medal! 🥉🏅

🎳 PWPS Ten Pin Bowling Success! 🥈

Congratulations to our PWPS Ten Pin Bowling Team, who competed against schools from across the Sydney East region at Sylvania! 🌟

The team showed fantastic skill and teamwork, scoring an impressive 727 points across two games and securing 2nd place across Sydney East, just ONE point behind first! This incredible result means our team will now progress to the State Competition!🏆🎳

Our debating teams headed to Penshurst West Public School for Round 3 of the debating competition, tackling the topic: "It is important to always be honest.”

👏 A huge congratulations to our Junior Team, who celebrated their first win of the competition! What a fantastic achievement! 🏆Our Senior Team also gave it their all, presenting strong arguments, speaking with confidence and demonstrating some impressive debating skills. 🌟

💙 SASS Recognition Week at PWPS 💙

This week, we proudly celebrate SASS Recognition Week and recognise the incredible School Administrative and Support Staff who play such an important role in our school community. 🌟

From our wonderful office staff, School Learning Support Officers, Student Wellbeing Officer and all those working behind the scenes, our SASS team supports our students, staff and families in countless ways every single day.

Yesterday, our students came together to show their appreciation by creating special cards and messages of thanks, recognising the care, kindness, patience and dedication our SASS staff bring to PWPS. 💐

We are incredibly grateful for everything you do to help make Peakhurst West Public School such a supportive and welcoming place to learn and grow.
