Talking about BIG things; the historic Port Welshpool Long Jetty lives up to its name at almost 1 km in length. Interestingly, it was the only curved jetty in Victoria when it was originally built in the 1930s. This area is great for history buffs. The nearby Fisherman's Jetty dates back to 1859. Nearby Port Albert is Victoria’s oldest seaport and served as the primary gateway to Gippsland. Its old cemetery is worth the visit and there is a fantastic free camp in town..

Day 2- Camino
20kms
My new Camino friend, Bonnie walked a few kms further than me yesterday. This morning I started walking early at 6.30. Around 8am I, by chance, met her just as she was coming out of her accommodation (alburgue). So we shared the day again.
The universe definitely has a plan. There is a reason we were meant to meet as the odds of meeting someone 2 days in a row like that are slim.
Again today, , Bonnie walked on a little further for her booked accommodation.
Today was a day of mild walking weather in the sea fog. We passed through some gorgeous towns and fishing villages.
The 2 Dutch fellows that were in my dorm last night are also next to me tonight.
Meeting such interesting people from all over the world.
All going well, except for one pesky blister. The cobble stones and a back pack take a bit of adjustment.
Buen Camino
