We have some amazing, generous people in and around Foundations Family Day Care and felt they should be recognised and celebrated.
This group is people who have previously been part of our team but even after they have left, they still actively contribute and support our team. We have named them pulana pakanas, which means Star People.
We have also expanded the group to people who are still part of Foundations Family Day Care. These are people who have done something at an exceptional level.
Our first ever pulana pakanas are Inga, who was unfortunately unable to join us due to illness, and Jennie. They were joined by Angela, one of our current Educators, who was awarded the Victorian and Tasmanian Educator of the Year Award for 2025, and was one of the 4 national finalists, and Kathi, who was the National Coordinator of the Year in 2022.
As well as being given a beautiful bouquet of native flowers, our pulana pakanas have been given a trophy and gold name badge. They will also be able to join any profession development day, hosted by Foundations Family Day Care, free of charge.
Congratulations to our pulana pakanas:
* Inga Phillips
* Jennie Boucher
* Angela Mammone
