เธชเธงเธฑเธชเธ”เธต, NSW! ๐Ÿ‘‹

Did you know our state is home to 36,085 people of Thai ancestry?

This community spans every generation:
๐Ÿ‘ถ 22.8% aged 19 and under
๐Ÿ’ผ 54.4% aged 20 โ€“ 44
๐ŸŒฟ 22.9% aged 45 and over

There are also significantly more women than men of Thai ancestry in NSW.

From the golden temples of Bangkok ๐Ÿ›• that brought Buddhist traditions across the seaโ€™s that are now woven into NSW communities, Thai heritage brings its own unique flavour to local life. And of course, that flavour is best tasted over a shared plate of som tam ๐Ÿฅ—๐ŸŒถ๏ธ, Thailand's iconic spicy papaya salad.

Do you have Thai ancestry? Drop your story in the comments below! We'd love to hear about your family traditions, memories and experiences. ๐Ÿ’ฌ๐Ÿ‘‡

More than 500 young people have already used the DigiVanโ€™s professional equipment to bring their ideas to life. And itโ€™s about more than learning how to use a camera.
