SSDP UniMelb - Students for Sensible Drug Policy at University of Melbourne SSDP UniMelb is a platform for students passionate about drug policy. Signup! https://bit.ly/36fHznh We look forward to having you along!

Students for Sensible Drug Policy is an international organisation, which for over a decade has been uniting students and young people who are critical of the failed War on Drugs. With chapters set up throughout the US, Canada, the UK, Europe and New Zealand, it is now time for SSDP Australia to begin pushing for drug law reform here, and 2016 is the year it's all getting started. We seek to bring

together students who are interested in engaging with the quickly growing drug law reform movement. Through conversations, connections, official events, workshops, debates and expert discussion panels, SSDP UniMelb seeks to harness the brilliance within the University of Melbourne to achieve a new level of critical analysis on campus and in society, and to finally replace the damaging War on Drugs with an evidence-based policy framework rooted in compassion, harm reduction, tolerance and understanding. If you are passionate about drug law reform, the existence of drugs in society, or are sympathetic to these ideas, we are the organisation for you.

Help us save SSDP UNIMELB this Thurs, 6:30! First 20 members to attend receive a free pizza🍕

We need your help to keep Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) at the University of Melbourne alive. This year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is critical to saving the club, and your participation will help shape the future of drug policy advocacy on campus and beyond.

🎉**** Join us for our AGM on Thursday, 10th October 2024, from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm at the Student Pavilion, Room 205 or via Zoom! ****🎉

As a token of our appreciation, the first 20 members to attend in person will enjoy free pizza! 🍕 Because advocating for sensible drug policies requires energy—and what better way to power positive change than with pizza?

Can’t make it in person? No worries—you can still participate and vote by joining us online via Zoom (Password: 427398)

Supporting the need for public drug checking services in Victoria now. Be safe, and as always, test your substances.

“Metonitazene is a potent NSO that is not often seen in Australia. Its potency is similar to fentanyl, estimated to be between 30 and 200 times that of morphine. This means it can produce life-threatening toxic effects in very small amounts. Metonitazene usually appears as a white, off-white or beige powder.

The Department of Health is aware of two serious recent hospitalisations associated with metonitazene. Patients experienced strong and fast-acting effects, leading to loss of consciousness, respiratory depression and hypoxia (insufficient oxygen for normal functioning).”

White powder containing the potent opioid ‘metonitazene’ has been mis-sold as co***ne in Melbourne.
