π¨π’ A Major Milestone for Community Safety in Parkes π’π¨
Parkes Shire Council is proud to celebrate the official opening of the new state-of-the-art Parkes SES Headquarters, providing local volunteers with one of the most advanced regional emergency service facilities in NSW.
Delivered through a significant investment from the Australian and NSW Governments, the purpose-built facility will strengthen emergency response, training, equipment storage and regional deployment capabilities for years to come.
Mayor Neil Westcott said the new headquarters represents a major investment in the safety, resilience and future of our community.
π¬ "Our SES volunteers play a vital role in protecting lives and supporting residents during emergencies. This new facility ensures they have the modern resources and operational capability they need to continue serving the Parkes Shire and surrounding region."
Council was proud to secure the funding, contribute the land, and manage the project through to completion, supporting the incredible work of our dedicated SES volunteers.
π Thank you to everyone involved in bringing this important community asset to life, and to our SES volunteers for their ongoing service and commitment to keeping our communities safe.
