There’s something really special about family day care: smaller ratios, mixed-age groups, and rich learning within a home environment. Most importantly, it provides the consistency of one educator building strong, trusting relationships with children and families.

At Kentish Family Day Care, we ensure our educators are supported to grow within the profession and to connect with one another through a strong professional network that enables them to flourish.

Through our monthly support meetings, educators recently explored the elements of dance. They were challenged to design and deliver their own performance incorporating the five elements of dance, while also creating stimulating learning environments to showcase to their peers. Each educator shared where their interest originated, how it developed, and the ways they extended children’s learning experiences through it.

We are proud of the creativity, reflection, and professionalism demonstrated by our educators.

This is such a significant week as we celebrate our Family Day Care educators.

This week recognises the professionalism, dedication, and high-quality care that Family Day Care educators provide to children every single day. As a Family Day Care educator, you wear many hats, from running your own service as a Director to creating meaningful learning experiences for children.

We truly value our educators and the incredible contribution they make to our community, and most importantly, to the families they support. Your effort, passion, and commitment do not go unnoticed.

We were so pleased to celebrate together with a lovely morning tea in the park.
