If you still use plastic toothbrushes, it's time to change right now!

Every year in Australia, we throw away over 30 million plastic toothbrushes that never get recycled.
Let's try to change that one toothbrush at a time.

There are alternatives on the market and Eco Patch stock two of these.

Fully compostable (just remove the bristles). Leave behind no toxic material, so the compost can be used for future plant growth.

❓ Is recycling always the answer?

✅ We all know that recycling is an important way of avoiding unnecessary waste and minimising the environmental impact of what we do.

‼️ But it might surprise you to know that recycling isn’t always the answer. There are alternatives that are actually even more beneficial to the environment.

Compostable plastic bags are a great example of how there are green alternatives to recycling.

While recycling plastic is of course a good thing to do, there is a way to be more proactive.

Using compostable plastic bags for your organic waste, like food scraps or garden waste, means you can dispose of it in your green bin so that it ends up at a compost facility, not in harmful landfill.

Not only does this mean your organic waste is turned into extremely valuable compost rather than useless landfill, but while it is composting it captures carbon in the soil, which has a further positive impact on our overall emissions.
