Situated on busy Oxford St the school is only a walk from Centennial Park, a facility well utilised by the school for sport and environmental activities. A family oriented school with high expectations of students and staff, Paddington Public provides a range of extra-curricula activities and programs to enrich student learning, enhance teacher practice and to encourage parental involvement and pa
rticipation. A valued feature of the school is the inclusive enrolment policy. The school supports the learning growth of a diverse group of students including 38% of students representing 30 different nationalities and, since 2010, 3% of students with moderate integration funding support. There is a focus on quality curricular and extra-curricular programs. An enriched sports program with a focus on competitive and non-competitive sports, ensures all student needs are catered for. French is our language other than English and is taught to all students from Kindergarten to Year 6. A chess club is held weekly before school and language and drama classes are held after hours. A very well established band program starts in Year 3 and we have a talented choir. Here at Paddington Public School we cater for the needs of our students through not only academic learning but social and emotional learning too. We believe in students achieving their personal best in all they do and offering a wide range of opportunities to do so.
