We came out in force this morning with more new faces and removed many w**ds along the bushwalk, including the Easter Cassia. They were a bit harder to spot as yesterday’s rain had knocked a lot of the flowers off, but we saw that the leaves are also turning yellow now. We managed to tuck into the delicious home baked morning tea, before it began to rain again! Join us next month on Sun 24th May.

The rain is holding off, so come and join us for Bushcare at Rikki Bailey Park this morning! 8 till 10am ☺️

We’re focusing on removing Easter Cassia (Senna pendula var. glabrata) this week. This is an exotic species from South America and regarded as a significant environmental w**d in Queensland and NSW. This species is similar to native Cassias but is easy to spot this time of year due to it's bright yellow flowers.

Meet us at the picnic shelter at Rikki Bailey Park on Avalon street this Sunday 8 - 10am. All welcome!
