The Little Libraries of Oxley

The Little Libraries of Oxley A free book swap for Oxley residents. Leave your unwanted books and swap for new ones!

We love how the local community has got behind the Little Library at black milk coffee. However, please use common sense when donating items. These two mouldy and water damaged books were found on the shelves. This is a health hazard for the cafe staff and customers!

The Wartime Quilts exhibition at Ipswich Art Gallery is amazing. You don't need to be a quilter or embroiderer to appreciate the detail and techniques but if you are, you might just lose your mind.
This is a free exhibition and would be a perfect Mother's Day outing. The gallery is open 10am-5pm daily.

Still looking for something special for Mother's Day?
Why not visit the War-time Quilts exhibition and pick up a copy of the comprehensive catalogue by curator and leading quilt historian Dr Annette Gero. The fully illustrated 228-page publication is available from the Gallery shop for $89. There's also a range of unique, hand-made quilts for sale from Dr Gero's collection so you're sure to find something super special.

Support a Little Library and read asap!

Did you know that in 2002, half of all books printed in the UK were never read. And they’re weren't redistributed either, but returned to the publishers or otherwise disposed of, usually pulped or simply placed in landfill. Get a street library and give books a second chance!
