ASH COTTAGE TO BECOME A NEIGHBOURHOOD HOUSE
Exciting news for HATCH and the Central Highlands. Minister Madeleine Ogilvie announced today at the West Moonah Neighbourhood House that the state budget will include funding for Ash Cottage Ouse to become a Neighbourhood House. This will provide much needed ongoing funding for our community.
HATCH have worked hard for this outcome and look forward to an exciting future as part of the Neighbourhood House Network. We thank all the people that have supported this initiative.😀

PROFILES AND DIGITAL HELP-SEEKING PREFERENCES
OF FAMILY, CARERS, AND SUPPORTERS OF YOUNG
PEOPLE IN SUICIDAL DISTRESS

Are you a family member, carer, or supporter of a
young person who has experienced suicidal distress?

We are a team of researchers and family care professionals from Orygen and the University of Melbourne.

We are seeking participants for a study exploring the characteristics, experiences, and help-seeking preferences of Australians who are caring for / have cared for young people aged 12-25 in suicidal distress.

Your insights will guide the development of better services for families and carers like yourself.
What’s involved?

• A 45-minute online survey about your experiences as a carer, personal wellbeing, and online help seeking preferences.
• After the survey, you may also be invited to take part in a 45-minute follow-up interview

Am I eligible to participate?
We welcome your participation if you:
• Are aged 18 years and above
• Are residing in Australia
• Are currently supporting or have previously supported one or more young persons (aged 12–25) in
suicidal distress.
• Have not experienced any acute psychiatric or mental health symptoms within the past 30 days.
How can I find out more?

To find out more or participate, click here: https://redcap.orygen.org.au/surveys/?s=7NWJ3WCWCF44XHRF.

Your voice matters. Together, we can improve support for those who provide care for young people experiencing mental ill-health.
