The District Council of Orroroo Carrieton invites the community to review and provide feedback on the Draft Annual Business Plan & Budget 2026/2027.

Public consultation opens Friday 29 May 2026 and closes Thursday 18 June 2026 at 5.00pm.

Community Information Sessions will be held at:
📍 Pekina Recreation Ground – Tuesday 2 June
📍 Carrieton Recreation Ground – Wednesday 10 June
📍 Orroroo Council Chambers – Thursday 11 June

Copies of the Draft Plan are available via Council’s website or at the Council Office.

Orroroo has been nominated for the 2026 South Australian Agricultural Town of the Year Award!

Now it's your turn to vote!

𝗖𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 - 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱

With the recent rains over the weekend, the condition of Eurelia to Morchard Road has been compromised. The road remains open to public with hazard signage erected, however please exercise care when driving on this roads as the road has only had emergency works undertaken to enable access for the public.

Wierra Downs Road continues to be closed to all general public access and use, with restricted access limited to property owners only.

Further works will be undertaken on over 70 roads identified in the Council district in the future which is both programmed and subject to a funding claim to the State & Federal Governments. Grading works are continuing in the Council area on flood effected roads to make roads safe for passage. Please exercise care when driving all district roads.

𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 & 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻

The District Council of Orroroo Carrieton has developed a Disability Access & Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2025-2029. The main aim of the DAIP is to set out Council’s commitment to service provision, based on the needs of the community and the capacity of the Council.

The draft plan was endorsed at the April 2026 Council Meeting and is now released for public consultation. A copy of the report is available on the Council’s website www.orroroo.sa.gov.au and at the Council Office, 17 Second Street Orroroo.

Public submissions can be received by post, delivered to the Council Office or emailed to [email protected]
All submissions must be received by 5.00pm Monday 18th May 2026.
