Fire and rescue and rural fire service have responded to a call for a house fire in Clifton Grove. They found a chimney smoking which was made safe before crews left.

A car travelling on Ophir Rd at around 10.30pm Wednesday the 1st of April rolled multiple times after leaving the road. All three passengers in the car were taken to Orange health service for assessment and treatment. The road was closed for sometime to allow emergency services to do their job safely.

3 people were transported to hospital by road after a police pursuit end in single vehicle accident. About 1:40am Tuesday morning a vehicle with 3 occupants left the road approximately 16km north of Orange. Emergency services were dispatched and were on scene minutes later from police ambulance and rural fire services.

A bushfire is burning in the vicinity of Fitzgeralds Valley Rd approximately 3km north of Newbridge. The fire is burning in a southerly easterly direction towards Wimbledon Rd.

Residents in the Jones Lane aera should leave if not prepared towards the Newbridge Village.

Residents in Kelly Lane should head north to the Mid Western Highway.

Ophir Rd is blocked in all directions emergency services are working to clear the road now

About 2am Tuesday morning emergency services were called to a single vehicle accident about 15 km from orange I male occupant was transported by road to hospital.

A total fire ban has been declared for the central ranges tomorrow, Sunday the 16th November.

The total fire ban begins from midnight tonight.

HIGH FIRE DANGER RATING 8 NOVEMBER - PERMITS CANCELLED

The fire danger rating in the Canobolas Zone tomorrow, Saturday the 08 November, is HIGH, due to strong winds.

No permits are to be commenced.

UPDATE : the road has been cleared and re-opened. Motorist’s are advised to drive with caution as the road surface has been damaged and is slippery.
Single vehicle crash near 658 Ophir Road emergency crews are on scene, road is blocked in both directions.
Occupant of vehicle has been transported to Orange health service.

Lower Lewis ponds road closed in both directions due to a single vehicle accident. Emergency services are on scene working.

UPDATE : Tow truck is now on scene.

There is currently reduced traffic flow on Ophir road due to a car accident. Please slow down and follow emergency services instruction. All occupants are out of the vehicle and safe.
