Today, we acknowledge and remember the experiences of the Stolen Generations β Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who were forcibly removed from their families, communities, and cultures under past government policies.
National Sorry Day is a time for reflection, learning, and understanding. It reminds us of the importance of truth-telling, healing, and reconciliation, while honouring the strength, resilience, and enduring cultural connections of First Nations peoples.
As a multicultural community, we recognise the value of respect, inclusion, and meaningful relationships. Together, we can contribute to a future built on understanding, compassion, and unity.
